After multiple trips to the Dominican Republic, our team realized a significant difference between the cigars we were smoking back home and the ones that came directly from the hands of a skilled tabacalero. It’s understood widely that Dominican tobacco is some of the richest and most flavorful grown today and its cultivation is a process that has been refined over hundreds of years and when a cigar is rolled with care and precision by a skilled expert it only increases the natural elegance of the tobacco leaf. With this realization, we decided to speak with local farmers and plantation owners to see what we could do to get their premium, hand-rolled cigars back to the States.
